Growing up surrounded by alcoholism, drugs, abuse, narcissism, and being controlled led me to a life of addictions and PTSD. Severe OCD, stomach issues, and then two admittances into the hospital left me with intense panic attacks and anxiety. I carried all of this into my marriage and my own road of entrepreneurship and business. Talk about a conglomeration of chaos.
So, like a good boy, I did what everyone told me...
Small groups, church groups, men's groups, Celebrate Recovery (like AA), counseling, accountability partners, 12-steps, therapy, and more.
I had believed everyone's good intentions, thoughts, and beliefs, yet nothing ever broke it or changed it for ME.
After 7 years of struggling to make ANYTHING work, I got up and left...
October 17th, 2015.

The church is so filled with people who are suffering in silence because of guilt and shame around what they are struggling in because of the belief that just being a Christian should magically remove all addiction, etc. and no one within the church is helping or guiding them. There needs to be a massive shift, and you my friend have started this.
